Job summary

A semiconductor equipment company in Singapore is seeking a technician to handle equipment setup, machine alignment, and troubleshooting. Candidates should have a diploma in engineering or similar and relevant experience in mechanical and electrical environments. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and assemble various equipment, including vision and tape and reel machines.
  • Align machines and calibrate them for operations.
  • Provide on-site support locally and overseas.
  • Manage kit assembly, testing, and certification tasks.
  • Maintain stock inventory levels and handle part purchasing.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of equipment setup and assembly. Depending on the equipment, it can include vision, AOI, tape and reel machines, electrical and mechanical components.
  • Take charge of machine / module alignment, vision alignment and calibrate machine checkout including electrical and mechanical assembly issues.
  • On site support occasionally, both locally and overseas with ability to perform trouble shooting.
  • Manage kit assembly, testing and certification.
  • Manage stock inventory level.
  • Duty for part-purchasing and collection.
  • Liaise with subcontractors where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering, NITEC or Higher NITEC with minimum 1 – 3 years relevant experience.
  • Fresh diploma graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Work experience in automation, mechanical and electrical environments in the semiconductor industry will be valuable.
  • Preference for machinery automation with electrical, servo sensor and pneumatic system understanding.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings will be an advantage.
  • Need for mechanical hands-on ability.
  • Mechanical alignment, motor tuning, AOI or vision knowledge will be a plus.
  • Positive attitude and proactive to learn by taking on additional job scope when necessary.
  • Reasonable physical strength as parts / modules might be heavy.
  • Some roles require conversant use of both English and Mandarin language.
