Overview

SIM is looking for associates who are dedicated, highly‑motivated and possess a strong passion for teaching and shaping the minds of the young generation.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver the course content in a 3‑hour lecture format on a weekly basis.
• Manage assessment marking within a given deadline.
• Work closely with the course coordinator based in the partner university to achieve desired student outcomes.
• Teach six required sessions of a 3‑hour lecture once a week.
• Set, coach and mark assessments.

Course Details

Module: Unmanned Aerial System Operations

Topics covered include:

• Overview of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and their operation in segregated airspace.
• Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) operations.
• Regulatory requirements for safe operation and airspace integration.
• UAS platforms: Civil and Military, classification and design, performance and data acquisition capability.
• Operation requirements, pilot certification, operational limitations, safe operation (LOS & BLOS).
• Issues regarding UAS operation: social conceptions, contemporary issues.

Classes are mostly conducted during weekday evenings from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in aviation or a related field (preferred).
• Industry experience in airport master planning.
• Academic teaching experience preferred but not compulsory.
• Professional certification in Project Management advantageous with exposure to aviation environment.
• Ability to teach evening classes on weekdays or day classes on Saturdays.
