About the Role

SIMPL is led by a specialized, driven, internationally experienced team based in Singapore. The team focuses on sourcing and evaluating impact investment opportunities, assessing and managing associated risks and impact of those investments, as well as executing and overseeing the transactions.

SIMPL seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. As an Associate, the individual selected will be responsible for supporting the team in executing financial analysis, research, and operational tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start or further develop their careers in the financial services industry. The individual will play a key role in driving the company’s growth and expansion initiatives through various transactions and geographies.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs))

  • Perform industry and market research to support investment decisions and identify new business opportunities.
  • Organize and support in-depth due diligence for both on and off-site potential investments and assist in conducting financial and non-financial analysis of prospect data to support overall credit and impact analysis.
  • Responsible for reviewing monthly and quarterly investee information, ensuring accuracy and consistency and analysing trends and covenant compliance.
  • Support senior team members in the end-to-end investment deal process while coordinating with Governance, Legal and Finance teams.
  • Assist in the execution of day-to-day operations, managing workflows, and ensuring that internal processes are running efficiently.

What You Will Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

  • Undergraduate/post-graduate/professional degrees in fields such as finance, business administration, investments, economics/development, or other related disciplines.
  • 3 years or more of relevant experience in financial services, consulting, or a related field
  • Experience in financial modelling, market research, transaction execution, impact and risk evaluation are preferred.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and provide clear, actionable solutions.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and open to feedback, with the ability to work both independently and as part of diverse teams.
  • Motivated to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, open-minded to work in different topics and interact with various cultures, curious, and willing to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management concepts is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with financial modelling tools is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English. Business-level verbal and written proficiency in regional languages are a plus.
