Job description

Summary

Ares is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join as an Associate focusing on incoming KYC requests across all business lines. The role involves working closely with legal, tax, and compliance teams, and supporting various functions including portfolio compliance, trade administration, and account transitions.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Support legal teams with daily KYC requests.
  2. Familiarize with fund structures across business lines.
  3. Assist with data management related to financing, accounts, investors, and portfolios.
  4. Coordinate account opening tasks with custodian banks, including monitoring pipelines and systems.
  5. Develop best practices for tracking KYC items.
  6. Lead projects to improve KYC processes and communicate metrics.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and corporate skills.
  • Knowledge of investment types such as fixed income, derivatives, equities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in investment management or related fields, 4-6 years, with KYC or compliance experience preferred.
  • Experience working with various business units and developing scalable operations.
Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
