Job description

A globally respected offshore law firm is actively seeking an ambitious Associate with strong contentious and insolvency experience to join its leading Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (IDR) team in Singapore.

This role offers exposure to high-profile, cross-border matters involving complex commercial litigation, contentious insolvency, asset recovery, and financial services disputes. Working alongside top-tier partners and colleagues across Asia and beyond, the successful candidate will advise an international client base that includes insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, corporates, directors, and high-net-worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and restructuring mandates
  • Acting on liquidations, receiverships, schemes of arrangement, and asset recovery
  • Advising directors, shareholders, limited partners and regulated service providers on contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Drafting and delivering clear, commercially focused advice in high-pressure environments
  • Supporting business development and contributing to regional growth initiatives

Candidate Profile:

  • Admitted in a Commonwealth or Irish jurisdiction with 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong commercial litigation and/or insolvency background (offshore or onshore)
  • Excellent academic credentials and technical drafting ability
  • Clear communicator with a commercial mindset and appetite for business development
  • Collaborative team player with experience managing client relationships
  • Offshore experience advantageous but not essential
