Job description

Associate Founders Office (Venture Capital)

About Artha Group

Artha Group is a performance-first investment house managing over 1,250 crores across multiple fund platforms:

  • Artha Venture Fund (AVF): Sector-specific early-stage VC
  • Artha Continuum Fund (ACF): Cross-stage investing across India and global markets
  • Artha Select Fund: Follow-on capital for top-performing portfolio companies

We operate with high ownership, speed, and execution intensity, backing 130+ companies with 30+ successful exits. Our investors include India's leading family offices and global UHNIs.

Role Overview

This is not an Executive Assistant role. It is a pivotal position in the Founders Office, specifically designed for venture capital. You will coordinate between the Founder, Principals, Associates, and deals in progress.

You will:

  • Track deal progress, follow-ups, bottlenecks, and IC preparation across the venture team
  • Represent the Founder in meetings, review calls, and negotiations when required
  • Manage internal execution hygiene: no drop-offs, delays, or unforced errors
  • Coordinate with LPs, legal, and internal teams to unblock high-priority workflows

This role offers a rare opportunity to operate as a force multiplier to the Managing Partner, with direct visibility into fund-level decision-making. There is a clear path for advancement to roles such as Principal based on performance over 2-3 years.

What You'll Lead
  • Strategic Deal Execution & Flow Tracking: Monitor live deals, ensure follow-ups, and clear bottlenecks. Attend meetings and ensure documentation and accountability.
  • Founder Support & Venture Ops: Filter inbound asks, prepare briefing notes, data sheets, and key context for meetings. Draft notes, pre-reads, investor decks, and updates.
  • Cross-Team & External Coordination: Act as the link between investment team, legal, fund operations, and external advisors. Manage timelines and dependencies.
  • Execution Hygiene & System Setup: Own deal tracking sheets, checklists, and calendars. Standardize task workflows and ensure visibility.
Who You Are
  • A detail-oriented VC professional with a passion for order, follow-through, and operational visibility.
  • 35+ years in venture capital, private equity, or fund operations with direct deal execution exposure.
  • Capable of managing multiple deals and stakeholders efficiently.
  • Comfortable representing the Managing Partner in various settings.
  • Fast, structured, and calm under pressure, especially during chaos.
Required Experience
  • MBA or CA qualification required.
  • 35+ years in VC/PE/fund investing or fund operations roles (deal-execution adjacent).
  • Strong understanding of venture capital workflows: sourcing, diligence, IC, legal.
  • Proven track record in execution, prioritization, and coordination roles.
  • Excellent writing skills: notes, memos, decks, follow-ups.
Compensation Structure

Total Annual Package: ₹26,50,000

  • ₹20,00,000 fixed annual salary (paid monthly)
  • ₹3,25,000 confirmed annual retention bonus (paid after 12 months)
  • ₹3,25,000 ESOP grant (vesting as per policy)
  • Performance bonus based on execution and impact
  • Carry participation (disclosed during final interview)

Fixed compensation is non-negotiable; upside is performance-based.
