Job description

Background
The team advises on an interesting mix of regional projects, including many “first time” transactions and structures. The successful candidate would work on a wide range of project finance and project development work, focused on the energy & infrastructure sectors - mainly renewable power/conventional power/gas-to-power, transport (roads, rail, seaports, airports), water treatment, waste treatment/waste to energy, and other economic/social PPP/PFI style projects mostly in Asia Pacific but often beyond. The clients consist primarily of major developers/sponsors, host governments, and funders (commercial banks, export credit agencies, and multilaterals).

This is a transactional role, with a large amount of client contact, and travel within Asia. The role includes undertaking business development and marketing activities with enthusiasm.

The Candidates Required
The successful candidate is technically excellent but equally important commercially astute and enthusiastic about providing superior client service. The candidate should have a solid finance experience and have experience of drafting and negotiating loan and security agreements. Any experience with projects (ideally including project contracts) will be of advantage.

They will be team players with a ‘can do’ approach in addition to a strong academic background with as excellent communication and organisational skills. Someone who is flexible, versatile and happy to operate “outside the comfort zone” will do best in this role.
