Job summary

NTUC Health Co-operative Limited in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform general repairs and maintain premises and equipment within the Home. The role involves preparing rooms for various functions and ensuring facilities are operational at all times.

You will assist in asset movement and labeling, monitor safety systems, and report issues promptly. The position requires reading and writing simple English, the ability to lift heavy items, and willingness to work shifts

Qualifications

• 1 year of related maintenance experience
• Ability to read and write simple English
• Physically able to lift heavy items
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• SAP experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and maintenance of premises and equipment
• Prepare rooms in the Home for various functions
• Assist in asset movement and labeling
• Ensure key facilities are functional and report malfunctions
• Monitor CCTV, fire safety systems and assist in security tasks as needed
• Support Fire Safety Committee and respond to fire/haze incidents
• Follow safety procedures during all work activities
• Assist in inventory management
• Undertake any other duties as assigned

• Conduct general repair and maintenance of premises and equipment
• Prepare and arrange rooms in the Home for different functions
• Assist in assets movement and labelling of assets
• Ensure the key facilities are functional and trigger external maintenance when needed. Report to the Reporting Officer of any equipment malfunction or breakdown
• Man the Fire Command Centre, CCTV monitoring system, fire safety alarm system and attend to security issues, eg. activate SCDF when required
• Participate as member of the Home's Fire Safety Committee and support Operations to attend to any fire haze
• Ensure that safety precautions are taken in the course of work
• Assist in inventory management
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience
• Good team player
• Able to read and write simple English
• Able to lift heavy items
• Able to do shift work, inclusive of weekends and public holidays
• Experience in SAP system is an added advantage
