A rapidly expanding construction testing firm in Singapore seeks an Associate Engineer to perform various testing assignments. Candidates should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and computer skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a laboratory team environment. This role offers a dynamic working environment focused on laboratory testing services.
Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.We are moving to Tuas in September.
Job Duties:
Closely involved – as a contributing team member – with a variety of assignments with the laboratory
Accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and may attain additional responsibilities for release of standard and/or routine data to clients and possess the ability to effectively contribute to technical presentations and communications within the engineering discipline
Ability to work on well-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, with limited supervision in accordance with approved procedures, methods, customer specifications and standards
Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor
Under the close guidance of advanced Engineers in the laboratory, work on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis and able to define work experience that has impact on the day to day technical decisions made on timely delivery of laboratory testing services and customer support witih strong technical knowledge
Able to demonstrate the ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions
Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant working experience
Preferred significant field experience leading to comparable engineering knowledge, competencies and skill
A Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
In-depth understanding of testing concepts
Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
Possess strong computer skills
