Job description

    As an Associate Docs to Stips Specialist, you will play a crucial role in accurately associating borrower-provided documentation to the appropriate underwriting conditions within the loan origination system. Your attention to detail, knowledge of mortgage documentation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, paperless environment are essential for success in this role. You will be expected to demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a firm commitment to maintaining quality and compliance standards.Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing borrower-provided documents to ensure completeness and relevance, accurately associating documents with the correct underwriting conditions in the system, and verifying that all documentation adheres to investor and company guidelines. You will also be responsible for updating the loan origination system, reviewing risk messages for necessary actions, clearing data validators, and running decision engines along with fee/pricing engines as needed.Effective communication with internal teams to clarify documentation requirements, maintaining productivity and quality standards set by management, identifying and escalating discrepancies or missing documentation, and utilizing checklists and system tools to verify documentation accuracy are all part of your daily tasks. Supporting underwriters and processors by ensuring timely and accurate document association, staying informed about different document types and underwriting requirements, and strictly adhering to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards are essential aspects of your role.To be successful in this position, you should ideally possess at least 2-3 years of experience in mortgage processing or document review. Familiarity with mortgage documentation and underwriting conditions, the ability to follow complex task processes, strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are crucial. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems, able to work independently, and meet deadlines effectively in a high-volume work environment.,
