Job summary

Nomura is seeking a seasoned professional in portfolio management to oversee portfolios and fund mandates, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic investment framework. The role combines analytical duties with marketing support to grow AUM and client engagement across Asia-Pacific markets.

The successful candidate will demonstrate deep experience in fund selection, bond investments, and private banking, complemented by strong IT skills to support portfolio management processes and risk

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in fund management or discretionary portfolio management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund selection process and experience managing fund/portfolio mandates.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct bond investments.
• Experience in private banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Portfolios and Fund mandates.
• Ensure the portfolios and fund mandates strategy are coherent with the bank's investment strategy.
• Daily order placements for equities, fixed income, mutual funds and hedge funds.
• Fund and bond research and portfolio monitoring for holdings.
• Construct fixed income portfolios, bond selections and trade ideas.
• Ensure adherence to the DPM risk charter and controls.
• Manage risks in the portfolios and support tailor-made mandates.
• Prepare marketing pitch books and portfolio analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management Duties (70%)

• Manage Portfolios and Fund mandates.
• Ensure the portfolios and fund mandates strategy are coherent with the bank's investment strategy
• On a daily basis, implementation involves tasks such as order placement for equities, fixed income, mutual funds and hedge funds for the portfolio and fund mandates under your care.
• Fund and bond research, and portfolio monitoring for all the holdings under your care
• Constructing of fixed income portfolios, bond selections, trade ideas and analysis and help in equities portfolio construction
• Ensure the controls and guidelines in the DPM risk charter are adhered for the profiled and fund mandates.
• Ability to manage risks in the portfolios
• Support in Tailor-made mandates
• Preparing of marketing pitch books
• Able to do portfolio analytics and attribution of the profiled mandates
• Help in portfolio administrative duties

Marketing Duties (30%)

• Part of the marketing team to achieve the growth of DPM AUM
• Marketing of DPM products to Relationship Managers
• Support in the preparation of weekly/monthly marketing materials for RM team updates
• Explore new ways to communicate /campaigns to front office.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in fund management or discretionary portfolio management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund selection process and experience managing fund/portfolio mandates
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct bond investments
• E xperience in private banking environment
• S trong IT skillset to be used for portfolio management
