Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Associate Director, Wayfinding to join our dynamic team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for designing intuitive, inclusive, and visually compelling wayfinding systems that elevate user experience across complex environments.

As Associate Director, you will oversee the strategic direction and delivery of large-scale, high-profile wayfinding projects across Singapore and the Middle East. You will guide the full lifecycle of design, from initial concept through to final implementation, ensuring alignment with brand identity, operational goals, and stakeholder expectations.

You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, and client teams to develop innovative, user-centered navigation solutions. Your expertise in materials, fabrication, and installation methods will be key to ensuring the successful execution of each project.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the way people interact with physical spaces and contribute to the creation of world-class wayfinding systems that leave a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Concept Development: Lead the creation of innovative, user-centric wayfinding strategies that respond to the unique needs, behaviours, and cultural contexts of diverse audiences. Ensure concepts are grounded in accessibility, inclusivity, and spatial clarity.
  • Design Leadership and Execution: Oversee the development of comprehensive design packages, including signage systems, environmental graphics, maps, and digital interfaces. Ensure all outputs adhere to brand guidelines, project specifications, and international best practices in wayfinding design.
  • End-to-End Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of wayfinding projects—from initial briefing and concept development through to final installation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams. Facilitate workshops, present design proposals, and navigate complex stakeholder requirements to ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the project.
  • Installation Oversight and Coordination: Coordinate with production and installation partners to ensure accurate execution of wayfinding elements. Monitor fabrication processes and site installations to maintain design integrity and quality control.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits to assess environmental conditions, validate design intent, and ensure installations meet technical and aesthetic standards. Address any issues promptly and proactively to maintain project excellence.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of designers and project managers. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Provide strategic guidance, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities. Champion cross-functional collaboration across departments and regions
