Associate Director, Relationship Manager, ME - BB

As a Relationship Manager in SME Banking at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility will be managing and cultivating relationships with mid-sized and emerging corporate clients. Your role is crucial in driving business growth and aligning with the bank's strategic objectives. Delivering exceptional customer service by offering financial solutions, while ensuring operational risk and regulatory compliance are managed effectively, is key to your success.

Your key responsibilities will include achieving individual financial and non-financial targets by acquiring, growing, and retaining profitable Medium Enterprise customers within acceptable risk parameters. Collaborating with various stakeholders such as Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, Team Managers, and colleagues in different departments to contribute to the team's overall targets and deliver optimal portfolio return is essential for success in this role.

To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in serving Business, Commercial, and Corporate clients. Experience in servicing cross-border international businesses and a proven track record in client relationship management and business development are crucial. You should demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and financial statement analysis.

Having sound product knowledge in trade, cash, lending, and FX is important. Additionally, a strong understanding of local industries, supply chains, market environment, operational procedures, documentation requirements, banking practices, regulations related to SME Banking, business guidelines, compliance issues, financial markets, and investment products is required.

Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with being a motivated self-starter who can identify opportunities and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs. Maintaining a high standard of personal conduct and adhering to the bank's valued behaviors is expected.
