Job description

The role is to execute and support initiatives contributing to ISCA’s Professional Standards strategic priority – in audit, sustainability and specialised industries such as banking and finance, corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue relevant technical publications and guidance to share knowledge and insights with ISCA members and the accountancy profession at large.
  • Lead/Provide secretariat support to relevant technical committees. Plan and execute initiatives/projects under these committees.
  • Monitor international standards-setting and local regulatory developments, assess their impact on the local accountancy profession and submit views to the international standard-setting bodies and local regulators.
  • Curate content to facilitate the development of CPD offerings
  • Conduct outreach events to share the latest developments and emerging issues
  • Contribute commentaries/articles for the media and the Institute’s in-house publication
  • Research technical issues and prepare relevant responses when providing technical support to ISCA members via the technical enquiry service.
  • Contribute towards ad hoc special projects of the Institute as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Accountancy, CA Singapore or its equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge relating to accounting, auditing and ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to foster strong working relationships with members, practitioners, regulators and other industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail, analytical and resourceful with positive working attitude.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines with a can-do attitude.
