Job description

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head (Pandemic Preparedness), the Associate Director is responsible for the following

  • To build and maintain effective relationships and alliances with global and local partners/organisations to forge synergistic and effective collaborations for TF in pandemic preparedness and response.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including joint collaborations with other funding partners and technological agencies locally and overseas, conferences, exhibitions and competitions or establish a steady pipeline of viable projects that are aligned with the objectives, priorities and policies of TF Pandemic Preparedness.
  • Conduct project evaluation, including environmental scan and due diligence on partners, technologies and financial matters.
  • Monitor approved programmes and projects of TF. This includes monitoring of programme and project status to ensure the desired outcome has been met, producing timely reports to Management and Board of TF, managing the disbursements of programme grants to ensure compliance in the areas of governance, standards and practices.
  • Manage TF’s publicity and social media engagement platforms to promote awareness of TF and its objectives.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience working in public and global health. Exposure to programmes on infectious disease management is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence others in a constructive manner and to build and sustain collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively synthesize information to reach diverse audiences and build consensus.
  • Good quantitative analytic skills.
  • Knowledge in methods of impact evaluation.
