Job summary

AIA Investment Management Private Limited in Singapore seeks an Associate Director, Investment Risk to provide independent oversight, analysis, and reporting of investment performance and risks across portfolios managed by AIAIM.

You will lead risk oversight of Private Assets or Derivatives portfolios, monitor risk, perform performance analysis, and contribute to governance and risk framework enhancements while mentoring junior risk professionals.

Qualifications

• MSc preferred in a technical discipline; CFA/FRM a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of multi-asset portfolio risk, performance and attribution experience.
• Direct experience with Private Assets or Derivatives.
• Working knowledge of risk/performance systems (Aladdin, Bloomberg).
• Programming experience in Python/R with data manipulation libraries.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent analysis and management of Investment Risks (Market, Credit, Liquidity, Environmental) for AIAIM activities.
• Conduct risk-return analyses on portfolios and funds under management/advice.
• Lead independent oversight of Derivatives or Private Assets risk management.
• Own deep-dive reviews, thematic risk assessments, and portfolio risk challenges.
• Represent the IR function in governance meetings with senior stakeholders; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive enhancements to risk methodologies, KPIs/KRIs and governance framework.
• Provide SME input for complex investments and new products/transactions.
• Analyse risks for new products and present assessments to PAC.
• Mentor junior risk professionals and provide technical guidance.
