Digital Edge DC is seeking an Associate Director of FP&A to lead governance, portfolio insight and cost efficiency for capex and operating expenses across Asia Pacific. You will establish approval-to-cash views, strengthen forecasting discipline and drive executive-level financial commentary.

You will manage a small team, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and support Regional projects from Singapore. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus CPA/CFA/MBA qualifications, are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in FP&A, project finance, infrastructure finance, capex control or related roles.
  • Ability to translate complex operational and financial data into senior management insights and actionable follow-ups.
  • Advanced Excel / financial modelling and strong PowerPoint executive reporting capability.
  • Experience with capex governance, cash forecasting and portfolio reporting.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role leads FP&A governance, portfolio insight and operating cost efficiency for Digital Edge’s capex and operating cost base across Asia Pacific.

The Associate Director will establish an approval-to-cash view of capital spend, improve portfolio Latest Best Estimate (LBE) and cash forecasting, identify capex and operating cost risks, and provide clear financial challenge to Design & Construction, Operations, Procurement, Treasury and Country Finance.

The role includes direct people management of a small team of finance analysts and influences cross-functional stakeholders.

This role will be based in Singapore and will support projects and operations across Asia Pacific.

Key responsibilities:
1. Capex Governance and Approval-to-Cash Reporting
  • Own the monthly approval-to-cash reporting framework covering approved budget, commitments, invoices, cash paid, LBE, contingency usage and key delivery risks.
  • Build a portfolio view of development and maintenance capex, highlighting variance drivers by volume, rate, scope, timing and foreign exchange.
  • Establish exception reporting and escalation for material cost overruns, cash slippage, contingency drawdown, approval gaps and late commitments.
  • Partner with Development, Procurement and Country Finance to strengthen capex governance, data quality and forecasting discipline.
2. Portfolio LBE, Cash Forecasting and Investment Analytics
  • Improve capex LBE accuracy and cash-flow visibility by integrating inputs from Development, Procurement and Country Finance.
  • Support investment reviews by validating financial assumptions, capex phasing, contingency, return metrics, sensitivity analysis and key commercial risks.
  • Maintain a consistent methodology for post-approval tracking of investment economics against approved business cases.
  • Prepare executive-level commentary on capex, cash and portfolio risks, with clear recommendations and accountable follow-ups.
  • Partner with Operations and Country Finance to analyse power, repairs and maintenance, facilities management and maintenance capex trends.
  • Identify cost efficiency opportunities using driver analysis across volume, rate, mix, utilization and timing.
  • Develop benchmarking and unit-cost analysis across sites.
  • Translate operating cost movements into senior management insight, separating controllable performance from market, usage and timing effects.
4. Team Leadership, Controls and Ways of Working
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team of finance analysts supporting capex reporting, operating cost analysis and portfolio performance reviews.
  • Define the capex FP&A calendar, submission standards, data ownership, review cadence and escalation process.
  • Work with Country Finance, Procurement and Treasury to reconcile spend, commitments and cash where process gaps exist.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
  • 10+ years in FP&A, project finance, infrastructure finance, capex control or corporate finance, with proven capex governance, project cost tracking, cash forecasting, variance analysis and portfolio reporting experience.
  • Ability to convert complex operational and financial data into senior management insights, recommendations and accountable follow-ups.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Design & Construction, Operations, Procurement, Treasury, Accounting and Country Finance.
  • Direct people management experience, including coaching analysts, setting priorities and improving output quality.
  • Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills and strong PowerPoint executive reporting capability.
  • Preferred: OneStream, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Power BI or similar tools; CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent finance qualification.
