Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Concur Team Leader to lead, optimize, and evolve the Travel & Expense (T&E) Management process at NUS, ensuring operational excellence, policy adherence, and continuous improvement by overseeing the Concur Central Admin Team (CCAT), driving innovative process enhancements and fostering strong stakeholder partnerships.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to Head of Finance Shared Services, the incumbent's role will involve:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a team of 25 at CCAT, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and solution-oriented culture aligned with organizational objectives
  • Spearhead and manage high-impact CCAT-led projects and strategic initiatives, demonstrating strong leadership in T&E process transformation and innovation
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and critical escalation support to resolve complex T&E issues, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and service excellence

Process Excellence & System Optimization

  • Leverage deep expertise in SAP Concur and S/4 HANA to drive best practices, automation, and continuous improvements in T&E processes
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for workflow streamlining, enhanced control mechanisms, and improvements in Concur user experience
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct comprehensive data-driven analysis, and implement corrective actions to optimize T&E performance and compliance.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain robust T&E analytics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities to empower data-driven decision-making for various stakeholders

Stakeholder & Senior Management Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on T&E policies, critical pain points, and strategic enhancement initiatives.
  • Lead and facilitate high-level stakeholder consultations, including Concur Review Committee discussions, to ensure alignment and consensus on major T&E process changes prior to implementation
  • Drive proactive change management initiatives (e.g., roadshows, targeted communications, user forums)

Compliance, Audit & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ensure rigorous adherence to all NUS T&E policies, internal audit requirements, and relevant regulatory standards to safeguard financial integrity
  • Partner key external vendors, including Travel Management Companies, SAP Concur Support, and banking partners, to deliver optimal T&E solutions
  • Collaborate with across functions to ensure robust integration of T&E processes with broader financial operations.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in T&E management ideally within a large-scale, complex organizational environment.
  • Experience with SAP Concur (or comparable enterprise-level expense management platforms), demonstrating a proven track record of successfully leading system implementations, upgrades, or process enhancements.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage diverse cross-functional stakeholders with successful outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Individuals who possess strong analytical skills and use a data driven approach to provide insights and support decision making
