Job summary

Temasek Foundation seeks an Associate Director/Manager (Programmes) to lead flagship climate resilience and clean energy programmes in Southeast Asia. You will apply strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement skills to design, implement and monitor initiatives with impact.

Reporting to the Head of Climate & Liveability, you will build partnerships across public, private and philanthropic sectors, manage due diligence, track outcomes and report to leadership and boards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering from a reputable university.
• 5 years (Associate Director) or 2 years (Manager) of relevant experience in the energy, sustainability or related sectors.
• Strong ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments, e.g. government, international organisations, industry and philanthropy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region and beyond where needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships and coalitions with global and regional stakeholders across the public, private and philanthropic sectors to advance TF's programme objectives.
• Design and manage programmes that deliver measurable climate mitigation and adaptation outcomes for the region, including developing a steady pipeline of fundable projects with partners.
• Evaluate projects and proposals, including research and due diligence on technologies, financial models and partners, to ensure programme quality and alignment with TF's strategic priorities.
• Monitor approved programmes and projects, including tracking progress against intended outcomes, preparing timely reports to Management and the Board, and managing grant disbursements in compliance with TF's governance standards.
• Contribute to thought leadership and stakeholder engagement, including representing TF at conferences and events, preparing briefings for Management, and supporting cross-team initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by Head to ensure that the objectives of TF are met.
