Job description

About us

Pollination is a specialist climate change investment and advisory firm, accelerating the transition to a net zero, nature-positive future. We advise corporates, investors, and governments on decarbonisation, sustainable finance, and nature strategies — and invest directly in innovative projects and platforms.

Our people are global leaders in finance, investment, technology, business, law, and policy. Together, we connect the dots, shift barriers, and catalyse transformative partnerships at the highest levels of government and the private sector.

The opportunity

Pollination is seeking an Associate Director in Singapore to join our growing team. You will advise corporates, financial institutions, governments and development finance institutions on climate strategy, sustainable finance and the transition to a net zero economy.

As Singapore is a key regional hub for sustainable finance, you will work on transformative projects across Southeast Asia and beyond, alongside a diverse and experienced global team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead workstreams to design and deliver decarbonisation and sustainable finance strategies for corporates, investors, and governments.
  • Advise on market, policy and investment structures, including carbon markets, blended finance, and adaptation and resilience.
  • Produce high-quality analysis and deliverables (models, reports, presentations) tailored to client and stakeholder objectives.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and foster a collaborative, problem-solving culture.

Must have

  • 5+ years’ experience in strategy, finance, investment, consulting, or a closely related field, with proven ability to apply expertise to climate or sustainability outcomes.
  • Emerging expertise in at least one Pollination thematic: carbon markets & nature-based solutions; energy & industrial decarbonisation; sustainable & blended finance.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead strategic and commercial analysis (financial models, market reviews, investment/policy analysis).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver structured solutions in a commercial context..

Highly desirable

  • Track record in sectors such as carbon markets, energy, power, utilities, or natural resources in APAC.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia or other Asian markets.
  • Background in management consulting, corporate development, or investment.
  • Advanced qualifications in economics, finance, business, engineering, or related fields.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to support the growth of our Singapore office.

What sets you apart

  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with curiosity and creativity.
  • Translate complex technical and financial analysis into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrate commercial literacy and client impact orientation.
  • Highly collaborative and committed to tackling the climate and nature crisis.

Why work with us?

  • Join a values-driven organisation defined by intellectual rigour, catalytic collaboration, courageous creativity, and relentless tenacity.
  • Work on global, high-impact projects with exposure to colleagues in London, Sydney, Washington DC and beyond.
  • Access growth and development programs, plus mentoring from recognised thought leaders.
  • Enjoy progressive benefits: five days’ annual study leave, climate crisis volunteering leave, a “big life day” for personal/professional goals, short-term cash bonus, and long-term share plan.
