We leverage advanced quantitative techniques and cutting-edge technological tools to generate insights that drive outstanding investment outcomes for GIC.

Data Science & Innovation Team

You will be part of a team of data scientists developing AI solutions to support GIC's enterprise-wide users. As the Center of Excellence for AI at GIC, you will build advanced tools and platforms impacting all departments, including investment and corporate functions. You may work within the central team or directly with stakeholder departments.

What will you do as a Data Scientist?

  • Design and implement AI workflows to address business challenges.
  • Deploy AI solutions into production environments and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Conduct independent research to generate ideas for investment processes and corporate support.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Formal training in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering) with experience applying these skills in research.
  • Proven experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) in industry settings is essential.
  • Strong software engineering skills and adherence to best practices (e.g., code quality, single-responsibility principle, functional programming).
  • Solid understanding of statistical fundamentals, including hypothesis testing and sampling; programming skills are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and multi-asset research is a plus.
  • Experience managing and accessing industry-specific investment data for research purposes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing end-to-end research projects from data collection to model deployment.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on engineering experience related to data science or machine learning projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain results to stakeholders.
