Job summary

RHB Singapore is seeking an Associate Credit Analyst to join our Treasury team. You will support the management of the Bank's investment portfolio through credit assessment, portfolio monitoring and investment analysis.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify investment opportunities, assess credit risks, assign ratings, and provide timely reporting to support informed decisions while optimizing risk-adjusted returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related discipline.
• Experience in credit analysis, treasury, or investment management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel.
• Knowledge of credit rating methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the achievement of the department’s profitability by optimizing the risk-return ratio of the investment portfolio.
• Actively identify and evaluate new investment opportunities matching the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
• Support the management and rebalancing of the Treasury Investment Portfolio to achieve optimal returns while maintaining prudent risk levels.
• Conduct regular reviews of the investment portfolio and monitor credit quality across holdings.
• Prepare and present portfolio analysis, credit assessments, and management reports to support business decisions.
• Perform credit evaluations and assign credit ratings using internally approved rating methodologies.
• Monitor market developments, industry trends, and credit events that may impact the portfolio.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of portfolio performance, credit exposures, and risk indicators.
• Assist with administrative activities related to portfolio management, credit reviews, and reporting processes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Business, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in credit analysis, treasury, investment management, risk management, corporate banking, or related financial services functions.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and investment portfolio management principles.
• Familiarity with credit rating methodologies and financial market instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and market data effectively.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools used for financial analysis and reporting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
