Job description

NOTE: As this is a Creative role, a Portfolio is required for consideration.

Welcome to the Disruption Company. As a ACDs, you will be responsible for work produced on behalf of our clients, as well as any work created for our company, as the need may arise. You are required to conceptualise and/or supervise junior creative staff in order to ideate, produce and implement disruptive creative that solves our clients’ business problems, briefs or goals.

You are also expected to maintain our company’s standards of creative excellence and, within reason, profitability.

Ideation + Strategic Acumen

  • Participate in strategic conversations effectively i.e. solve problems /issues and build / grow the brand from a creative lens.
  • Proactive in bringing new ideas / concepts on brands across industries. Driver of disruptive work, working with multiple core teams across the agency to deliver disruptive / iconic work.
  • Responsible for selling creative ideas through effective presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Achieve synergy: Results oriented in both business and creative output.
  • Constantly up skilling, proactively keeping up with creative / social / digital trends and best practices; know what works, how to incorporate these into campaigns, and how to evaluate their effectiveness.

Execution / Production

  • Lead the entire creative process of multiple projects / campaigns (each with specific business objectives) - from client briefing through to concepts, execution, and assessing the effectiveness / impact of the campaigns.
  • Gatekeeper for creative input, ensuring work and briefs align with client and agency’s creative objectives.
  • Passionate about craft, delivering work of the highest quality.
  • Responsible for creative and effectiveness recognition at local and international awards competitions and new/existing business growth.
  • Great time management - Proactive in spotting unrealistic timelines, negotiating timelines, and responsible for ensuring the working team commits to final timelines.

Business Acumen

  • Spot growth opportunities and tailor creative solutions to client strategy and market context.
  • Navigate commercial trade-offs: set realistic budgets, understand production costs, and guide stakeholder conversations.

People Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional creative output; mentor and coach for skill development.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and agency partners, ensuring transparent communication.
  • Make decisive, courageous choices in ambiguous situations.
  • Cultivate credibility and presence within the agency and the broader creative community.

AI & Emerging Tech

  • Champion AI-powered tools (generative design, automated layouts, etc.) to accelerate ideation and refine quality.
  • Pilot, evaluate, and scale best-practice AI workflows across the team.

Job Specifications

Knowledge required

  • A minimum of 6 years working experience as a creative.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience and knowledge of marketing and advertising.
  • Thorough and contemporary knowledge and understanding of the latest innovations, trends and developments in our industry.
  • Proven curiosity for and hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g. Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT for ideation).
