About our Team

Our Legal team provides a full range of legal advice and services. Responsibilities are within the legal function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

About the Role

You will be part of a world-class team working in our APAC Region. You will be an experienced and qualified professional in the legal sector and demonstrate mastery of concepts and procedures in a specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements relating to SaaS, data licences in APAC.
  • Provide accurate, practical, relevant, and timely advice.
  • Implement legal, compliance and risk management best practice.
  • Stay current with changes to legislation affecting the business.
  • Research legal issues and evaluate risks.

Requirements

  • LLB, LLM or JD from a recognised university.
  • Admitted to the bar in any common law country.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in-house or in a law firm (prior litigation experience preferred).
  • Well-versed in contract, intellectual property, data protection, artificial intelligence laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in speaking, writing and reading English and Chinese contracts.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex legal issues and risks.
  • Has experience negotiating SaaS and data contracts.
