Job description

We are looking for a Content Protection Manager I based in Singapore to join our global team. The Content Protection team at Spotify is responsible for handling the operations of our intellectual property policies on our content catalog. Our goal is to ensure that the consumer experience is free from infringing content and that the properties of our content providers are protected. The team collaborates cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Legal, Trust & Safety, Customer/Creator Support, and other teams to develop effective and scalable solutions. The focus of this role will be to contribute to the team’s core responsibilities. We currently have Content Protection Managers sitting in Singapore, Mumbai, Dubai, Stockholm, London, New York, and Los Angeles.


What You'll Do
  • Review & process a variety of sophisticated incoming infringement claims
  • Troubleshoot infringement-related issues and assess findings with a variety of collaborators
  • Support the team with case, content, and system research
  • Interact directly with our rights holders, claimants, content providers, and internal teams
  • Act as a point of escalation and quality assurance to our support teams to drive operational excellence
  • Provide training and feedback to improv the overall knowledge and skills of our scaled operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with a range of teams at Spotify including our Content Partnerships teams, Legal, and the broader Content Operations teams
  • Contribute to improving processes and documentation
  • Collaborate with R&D to improve and develop tooling
  • Contribute to cross-functional critical issue management
Who You Are
  • You are proficient in English
  • You have experience working in Customer relationship management tools (e.g. Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)
  • You have experience working with content management systems
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in the audio industry (music, podcast, audiobooks) and/or have experience working with digital service providers or within operations
  • You have an understanding of music, podcasts, audiobooks, intellectual property rights, and technology
  • You have experience / a curiosity about operations and demonstrating AI to improve operational impact
  • You have excellent communication skills and can follow workflows diligently
  • You are able to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently
  • You are motivated to continuously innovate in developing processes and standard methodologies
  • You are adaptable and quick to learn in a changing environment
  • You become comfortable with asynchronous workflows and working in a distributed team
Where You'll Be
  • You will work out of Singapore office
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in-person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
