Job description

As part of the Department of General Surgery, we are looking for proactive and driven individuals to be part of our multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care. You will provide and maintain high quality service and care in your respective specialty and work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the day-to-day treatment of patients.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and providing comprehensive care to patients with vascular conditions, such as, the common vascular pathologies of peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, venous disease and carotid stenoses, etc. You would also be expected to manage vascular trauma and renal access as well as be an integral part of the complex Diabetic Foot Ulcer Multi-Disciplinary Team.

You will also be required to perform duties, such as daily ward work, managing clinic/medical consultation, on-call in accordance with operational requirements of hospital. In addition, you will undertake responsibilities in areas of Clinical, Education, Research and Administration. These include mentoring junior doctors, participating in scholarly activities, and attending to non-clinical administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Basic medical degree qualifications and a Postgraduate qualification registrable with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)*
  • Must be in active clinical practice
  • Prior experience in acute hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently with demonstrated competence in managing patients
  • Confident, pro-active and an effective team player
