Job description

CGH is seeking highly skilled and motivated Pathologist with special interest in Gastrointestinal (GI), Pancreaticobiliary and Liver Pathology to join our dynamic Anatomical Pathology team.

Job Description

  • Perform accurate and timely diagnosis of specimens, including biopsies and resections.
  • Interpret histological findings and provide comprehensive reports to aid in patient management and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, oncologists, and gastroenterologists, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and initiatives to maintain high standards of laboratory practice.
  • Contribute to research activities and scholarly pursuits of pathology
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Head

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a basic medical degree AND/OR a postgraduate medical qualification which is registrable with Singapore Medical Council (SMC) ( www.smc.gov.sg )
  • Must have specialty training which is recognised by the Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB), Singapore
  • Are required to produce documentary evidence of specialist training and specialist registration in the country of origin and from the relevant licensing body/organisation in the country where the specialty training was done
  • Preferably should have working experience in the country of origin as an accredited and licensed medical specialist
  • Must fulfil other criteria as stipulated by Singapore Medical Council for Conditional Medical Registration
  • Must meet English language proficiency requirement of SMC if the medium of instruction for the basic medical qualification is not in English language

Education Level: Basic Medical Degree and Relevant Postgraduate Qualification
