Job description

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides daily specialist outpatient and inpatient care in the Department of Cardiology . You will participate in ward rounds and combined department or hospital teaching seminars, including clinico-pathological case conferences. You will also represent the Centre at Coroner’s request or medico-legal hearings involving patients under the care of the department. In addition, you will assist with the training and guidance of junior doctors such as Resident Physicians, Medical Officers, Residents and Senior Residents.

Requirements:

  • A basic medical and relevant postgraduate qualification such as MRCP or equivalent, recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
  • An accredited Specialist in Cardiology with the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore
  • At least 6 years’ post-housemanship clinical experience
  • Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act. Applicants without these vaccinations are welcome to apply if they undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before work commencement upon successful interview and are offered employment
