Job description

Client servicing, liaison with underwriters, distribution, risk engineers, and reporting to management including claims practice leaders.

Manage the adjustment of reinsurance and insurance claims up to given handling and settlement authority.

Negotiate and liaise with insureds, brokers, cedants, loss adjusters and other service providers to deliver prompt and fair claims service.

Oversee claims administration, including processing claims advices and settlements, liaising with Finance on payments, ensuring claims are entered into the system correctly and timely, and preparing reports for management.

Maintain and diarize tasks to ensure claims are updated for efficient, timely handling in line with corporate objectives.

Ensure claims are handled according to Global Claims Handling Guidelines.

Support Senior Claims Specialists and Claims Managers in handling claims across various lines of business, fostering collaboration and sharing expertise to improve team performance.

Provide accurate reports/figures to Underwriters for marketing and renewal purposes.

Assist Underwriters and Client & Distribution leaders in marketing and risk selection, including market presentations to enhance the AXA XL Claims Team profile.

Participate in portfolio management across relevant Lines of Business, leveraging best practices and data insights for cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders such as underwriters and risk engineers.

Contribute to internal claims projects aimed at improving team efficiency, productivity, and organizational profitability.

Engage regularly with brokers and clients to gather insights for service improvement, including initiatives like Brokers Academy, Claims Academy, and regional market presentations.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Engineering-related Diploma or Degree.

Claims experience in property and construction is desirable.

Knowledge of key product lines and regulatory environments.

Up-to-date understanding of technical requirements of the role.

Ability to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions, and make sound decisions.

Proven track record of delivering first-class customer service internally and externally.

Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.

Strong report writing and presentation skills, able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.

Effective communication skills, confident presenter, exercising discretion with all levels of the company.

Attention to detail, meticulous in data accuracy and consistency.

Organizational skills, including scheduling, prioritization, and time management, with a proactive attitude.

Ownership of work, initiative, and team effectiveness.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including macros), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Experience in a Financial Services environment.

Ability to interpret and manipulate data accurately and articulate key points.

Resilient and adaptable, able to remain calm and adjust to changing priorities.
