Key Appointment

Work with a team responsible for the account management of allocated partnerships; establish and sustain good working relations for the long-term growth of the business.

This role will also work closely with the team to deliver on the strategic direction to achieve sales targets and business objectives, as well as ensure all sales and operational processes are compliant with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

This role shall work closely with the Head of Business Development and the team to implement the strategic direction of the cluster under their care and ensure that the achievement of their targets and business plans are aligned with the department’s overall objectives.

Sales Cluster Management:

  • Ensure growth targets on APE and headcount within the appointed cluster are met.
  • Conduct strategic planning and business needs analysis with the leaders and wealth planners of the appointed cluster to align financial objectives.
  • Actively engage team leaders in their recruitment activities to facilitate growth.
  • Where appropriate, take a lead role with stakeholders at a working level to discuss sales management approaches for target clients.

Key Decisions within the Role

  • From time to time, will be assigned the lead role in developing sales ideas for the Partnership Distribution team, including training the team.
  • Where necessary, the role holder shall engage and collaborate with other internal Singlife departments to uphold the level of operational service standards and the delivery of business plans.
  • Create and maintain a risk management environment that ensures risks taken by the function are identified, assessed, and frequently monitored, managed, and reported against.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of relevant experience in the Financial or Insurance Industry.
  • Experience in sales force/sales agency management or business account management.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, building strong relationships at all levels.
  • Detail-focused, highly analytical orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Highly motivated and well-organized.
  • Good standard of professional presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Good knowledge of insurance practices, operations, and processes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Good knowledge of the Life insurance industry, including Life, Health, and ILPs products.
  • Highly adaptable to changes.
