Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an Associate Application Developer - AWS Cloud FullStack to work in a modern cloud-native environment, building solutions around microservices, API-driven architectures, and continuous release cycles. You will collaborate with teams to deliver scalable and resilient applications using Agile methodologies.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing UI applications with SPA/microfrontends (ReactJS/Angular), building backend microservices in Java/NodeJS/Python,

Qualifications

• Cloud-native development experience in a modern cloud environment (microservices, API-driven, Agile).
• Proficiency with one or more programming languages (Java, NodeJS, Python, or .Net) and frameworks (Springboot, Quarkus, Django, Express Js).
• Experience with modern SQL and NoSQL data modeling techniques.
• Exposure to hyperscaler cloud services (Kafka, Zookeeper) and AWS services (EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway).
• DevSecOps tooling including CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeCommit and observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
• Knowledge of additional frameworks (Quarkus, Django, Express Js) and multiple languages enhances capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop rich UI applications using SPA or microfrontends with ReactJS or Angular.
• Build scalable backend microservices based on 12-factor principles, exposing functionality via API and event interfaces (Java/NodeJS/Python).
• Implement data modeling with modern SQL and No-SQL techniques, ensuring data integrity.
• Develop event-driven applications using Kafka, Zookeeper and hyperscaler cloud services.
• Manage AWS services including PaaS, routing, databases, event-driven services, observability and DevSecOps tools.
