Economics & Investment Strategy (EIS)

We manage the total portfolio to achieve sustainable long-term returns and maintain flexibility to navigate short-term market changes. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our department as a Quantitative Strategist embedded within an investment team.

Impact of this role

As a Quantitative Strategist in EIS, you will leverage data, quantitative, and AI/ML methods to provide comprehensive data-driven insights and recommendations to inform our investment decisions. Your work will include conducting quantitative research on macro drivers and scenarios affecting the total portfolio, and contributing to portfolio construction and asset allocation through quantitative methods.

Key responsibilities

  1. Partner with macro strategists, investment strategists, asset class specialists, and portfolio managers for quantitative research throughout the investment process.
  2. Develop and maintain robust models and tools for macro monitoring, market screening, idea generation, backtesting, portfolio construction, and asset allocation.
  3. Stay updated with market trends and academic research, contributing to the department’s strategies within the global macro space.

Qualifications and skills

  • 2-6 years of experience in a quantitative role such as quant strategist, researcher, actuary, risk modeler, or data scientist.
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomics, fixed income instruments, public equities, and other major asset classes.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, curious, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
