Investment Services Private Market Department (ISPVM)

The Investment Services Private Markets Department is responsible for investment services for the private market across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, portfolio finance, investment operations, tax, data management services, in the execution of private market investments in Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Credits and Infrastructure.

Investment & Deal Execution - Multi-Strategies Transaction Management

The Transaction Manager plays a vital role in executing a variety of projects and tasks related to deal closing and investment operations across a number of strategies through a scalable transaction execution platform. This role also involves providing deal finance advisory, financing middle office support, and regulatory operations.

What Impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of the team in providing transaction management and deal finance specialists services to Infrastructure, Integrated Strategies Group.

What will you do in Investment & Deal Execution?

Transaction Management

  • Support deal execution, point of contact with external and internal counterparties, ensuring all closing requirements are met as per the service menu including financial due diligence, KYC, compliance, authorizations, documentation, funding, structuring, other transaction finance services etc.
  • Partner with investment, finance, operations, tax, legal and compliance teams to execute efficient and timely deal closings and onboarding/ offboarding investment portfolios
  • Support financing operations including financing execution, facilitation, and covenants monitoring
  • Work closely with Capital Markets Team and external partners to monitor and administer loan lifecycle activities
  • Ensure d eal cycle compliance through general compliance and regulatory filing assistance; monitoring and reviewing compliance in post-deal cycle with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Administer and navigate concurrent deal closings and deal volume across multiple asset classes while working with various stakeholders
  • Be the go-to resource for Investment team’s investment process, administrative procedures and compliance policies queries, including advisory on approval processes and deal closing requirements and timelines
  • Identify gaps in current workflow and take a proactive approach to drive operational front-mid-back process improvements and efficiencies, and reduce operational risks

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Degree in accounting & finance, business, or other related fields with minimum 4 years relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of deal execution, credit, financing experience in the private markets
  • Good understanding and awareness of private investments’ deal documentations and nuances of private market transactions are advantageous
  • Detailed oriented analytical thinker, with creative problem-solving capabilities to effectively manage complex situations in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deals at any given time.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and drive partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An inquisitive self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, cross-regions multicultural environment
