Job description

A full-time position at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is open for a Tenure-Track Associate/Assistant Professor of Family Medicine. Reporting to the Dean and Vice Dean, Research, the appointee is expected to undertake high-quality research in the area of cancer in primary care within the Population and Global Health Research Programme, aligned with the school's research strategy. The appointee will obtain research funding and supervise research staff and students. Additionally, the appointee will undertake teaching and educational responsibilities for training medical students and postgraduate research students.

Person Specification:
  • MBBS/MD and/or PhD
  • Relevant postdoctoral or clinical experience
  • Significant experience and an outstanding record of translational clinical research and teaching, with high scientific achievement, productivity, and impact in family medicine
  • Experience in cancer detection in primary care, including genomics and/or diagnostics, is advantageous
  • Ability to supervise research staff and students
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to participate in postgraduate and undergraduate education and training
  • Experience supervising graduate students to successful PhD completion
