Job summary

DM Financial is seeking a Financial Reporting Associate to join our growing team in Singapore. You will prepare supporting schedules, financial statements for investment funds, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in line with IFRS and GAAP.

You will liaise with investment managers, fund administrators, and auditors, present statements for review, and contribute to process improvements. A strong eye for detail and ability to work independently are essential, with a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP is advantageous.
• Accounting coursework or background preferred.
• Able to meet client deadlines and quality standards.
• Experience in accounting role is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supporting schedules, working papers, and disclosures using Excel and other tools.
• Prepare financial statements for investment funds and vehicles per standards/regulatory requirements.
• Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and meet internal standards and deadlines.
• Present statements to senior team members and incorporate feedback promptly.
• Plan financial reporting engagements while managing multiple client deadlines.
• Liaise with investment managers, fund administrators, auditors, and other external providers to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Research accounting issues to determine proper GAAP/IFRS treatment.
• Contribute to process improvements and assist with ad hoc projects.

What you will be doing

• Preparing supporting schedules, working papers, and financial statement disclosures using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
• Preparing financial statements for a portfolio of investment funds and investment vehicles in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assisting in ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately, completely, and in accordance with internal quality standards and client deadlines
• Presenting completed financial statements to senior team members for review and incorporate feedback in a timely manner
• Supporting the planning of financial reporting engagements while managing multiple client deadlines
• Liaising with investment managers, fund administrators, auditors, and other external service providers to obtain information and resolve financial reporting queries
• Researching accounting issues and complex transactions to determine the appropriate accounting treatment under relevant GAAP and IFRS standards
• Contributing to continuous process improvements and assist with ad hoc projects as required
