Qualifications

  • Degree in MA/MSc or MBA required.
  • Experience in corporate innovation and startup ecosystems is essential.

This role will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships between Innov8 portfolio companies and Group OpCos. The primary focus will be on creating engagement opportunities, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation initiatives that benefit all parties involved. The person will work closely with the investment teams in Singapore, US, China and Israel.

Manage the regular engagement cadence with OpCos - quarterly reports, tech briefings, monthly newsletter etc. and help the Group keep track of tech trends, adopt new innovative technologies and identify growth opportunities. Develop and enhance the profile of Innov8 and its portfolio companies across the Group, to maximise value creation opportunities.

Make an Impact by:

  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engagement Strategy: Design and implement engagement strategies that encourage collaboration between startups and Group OpCos, including events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships that align with the strategic goals of both portfolio companies and Group OpCos.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the success of engagement initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Communication: Serve as secondary point of contact in support of the deal lead between portfolio companies and Group OpCos, ensuring clear and effective communication of needs, expectations, and opportunities.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute events that facilitate meaningful interactions and knowledge sharing between startups and Group OpCos, such as the Innov8Sparks workshops
  • Innovation Programs: Provide support to Group OpCos’ innovation programs, such as accelerator programs, hackathons, and innovation challenges.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for collaboration between portfolio companies and Group OpCos.
  • Tracking of engagement metrics between portfolio companies and Group OpCos.
  • Delivery of tech trends and insights to Group OpCos

Skills for Success:

  • Degree in MA/MSc or MBA.
  • High EQ and culturally sensitive
  • Understanding and involvement in corporate innovation activities
  • Some experience of working with startups and/or involvement in startup ecosystems (i.e. understanding of how startups operate)
  • Led and managed regular engagements with senior level stakeholders/partners (VPs and above)
  • Experience of working in countries in SE Asia
  • VC / M&A investment experience (involved in transactions)
