The Total Portfolio Solutions (TPS) group optimises the performance of the GIC Portfolio by managing top-down cross-asset investment strategies and rebalancing the portfolio. This includes overseeing alternative investment strategies and quantitative solutions to maximise the impact of the total portfolio.

What will you do as an Assoc/AVP, Quantitative Strategist (Portfolio Optimisation & Implementation), Total Portfolio Solutions:

  • Generate investment insights to drive better investment decisions and accelerate time to insights for the business
  • Conduct investment research and quantitative analysis supporting all stages of the portfolio implementation process, e.g. model optimization, pre-trade cost modelling, post-trade analysis
  • Work with model/execution researchers, portfolio managers, traders, to ensure efficient implementation of portfolio strategies
  • Develop framework for trading analytics, monitoring and reporting

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics with exposure to financial markets
  • 2-5 years with similar roles and experience in the industry
  • Relevant experience in portfolio optimization, quantitative research, trading workflows, transaction cost analysis, generation of insights from transactions and market data
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R and experience in data analysis libraries
