Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking an Assistant Vice President to manage the Wholesale Loans Operations Centre. You will oversee day-to-day loan operations across overseas branches, ensuring timely processing, servicing, reconciliations and reporting.

You will act as deputy to the Team Leader, handling escalation and staff management in their absence. The role requires 10–15 years in banking with 5+ years in corporate banking ops at supervisory level, a degree, and strong data/Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 10–15 years' banking experience with at least 5 years in corporate banking operations in a lead or supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of banking practices, operations and procedures.
• Self-starter with initiative and drive to achieve quality work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable with data handling and Excel.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Able to work rotating shifts (including Singapore Public Holidays).

Responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of Wholesale Banking loans processing in an approver/supervisory capacity, including disbursements, repayments, restructuring and data maintenance.
• Prepare and verify SWIFT messages related to loans and securities.
• Ensure day-to-day transactions are promptly and accurately authorized and processed.
• Perform reconciliations and investigations.
• Ensure operations comply with MAS regulations and Bank policies.
• Maintain quality control and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Branches' Credit & Admin Control Team and stakeholders.
• Act on behalf of the Team Leader during absences and manage escalation.
• Develop and maintain procedures and manuals for Loan Operations.
• Identify process improvements to minimize risk and reduce costs.
• Liaise with auditors and provide information for audits.
