About the Job

Your role is to execute the Financial Lines business plan to achieve both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability with a risk-oriented mindset delivered at a high quality customer service standard.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Driving profitable growth of Financial Lines by exercising underwriting authority within delegated limits, assessing, pricing, and quoting risks, referring risks outside authority, ensuring compliance, and providing technical guidance.
  2. Growing new business through identifying distribution channels and conducting product trainings.
  3. Collaborating with Accounts on credit control and ensuring acceptable loss ratios through loss control activities.
  4. Setting and maintaining service standards such as timely responses, renewals, follow-ups, and proper instructions to the Policy Processing Team.
  5. Ensuring smooth operations by maintaining records, preparing reports, conducting portfolio reviews, and training junior staff.
Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Lines insurance underwriting in Singapore, with knowledge of insurance laws.
  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
  • Certifications like ACII, ANZIIF, or General Insurance certification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with intermediaries and handle clients.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and decision-making skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Resourceful, independent, and a team player committed to excellence.
