Responsibilities
- Process daily trade transactions in a timely and accurate manner within service level agreement
- Perform pre-processing review of customers’ submissions and conduct documentary checks
- Check shipping documents and identify documentary discrepancies, in accordance with ICC standard guidelines, International Standard Banking Practices, etc.
- Process transactions in Bank’s trade processing system
- Ensure that regulatory, bank’s policies, guidelines, control and compliance requirements are strictly adhered to
- Complete daily reconciliation activities and prepare reports to internal stakeholders and/or customers
- Liaise with client on updating transaction statuses and support addressing transaction related queries
- Contribute to various process improvements and other projects as allocated
- Initiate ideas to drive operational efficiencies, enhance risk controls or improve customer satisfaction
- Support review of new products and requirements and assist Department Head to setup procedures to operationalize such new products to customers
- Provide trade technical advice to business units and customers when needed
- Assist the Department Head on human resource planning; ensure staff development and implementation of upskill programs.
- Ensure Operations Procedures are updates as per evolving regulatory requirements, new products and initiatives
- Contribute to bank-led digitalization and other initiatives/projects
- Participate in BCP drills and be familiar of Banks’ and Group’s BCP procedure and processes -Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues to Group Head/Deputy Group Head promptly
- Perform duties assigned by the Group Head or Management and to cover duties and responsibilities of staff in the event of an emergency/crisis
Requirements
- Graduate, preferably in Banking & Finance
- Sound knowledge of UCP, ISBP, URC, ISP, URDG
- At least 5-7 years of trade operations experience covering all imports and exports products
- Ability manage daily operations with strong risk awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who can work effectively in a team setting
- Able to lead as a deputy team lead
- Good interpersonal skills, decisive in communications
- Resilient and flexible in challenging circumstances
