Overview of Division/Department

The department is responsible for maintaining and supporting GCBS infrastructure hardware at the SGDC, as a member of ITSCD2 (system owner of GBCS infrastructure) in Japan. This role also serves as the onsite support for EE (Eximbills) and acts as a liaison between the Head Office (ITSCD2 and RT4-5) and Singapore-based users, ensuring effective communication and coordination for hardware operations. While application and infrastructure operations are managed by ITSCD2 and RT4-4 Head Office, this role serves as the Infrastructure Support Specialist handling escalations, on-site troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance to support business continuity and performance.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Infrastructure Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and execute strategies for the bank’s IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology advancements.
    • Identify and plan infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansion, and performance improvements.
    • Comply with the Mizuho Development Standard Process and ensure high-quality delivery.
  2. Infrastructure Operations Oversight
    • Oversee daily operations of IT infrastructure, including data centers, servers, networks, and storage systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
    • Manage vendors and service providers to meet performance and service level agreements.
  3. Security and Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., MAS TRM) and internal IT governance frameworks.
  4. Incident and Problem Management
    • Lead incident response and resolution efforts, minimizing downtime and ensuring root cause analysis for recurring issues.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience with data center operations, network management, server infrastructure, and storage solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT application and infrastructure development projects.
  • Experience with Hitachi hardware, JP1, HULFT, MS, SFTP.
  • Knowledge of banking business processes such as loans, import/export, remittance, deposits, markets, SWIFT, ISO20022.
  • Strong understanding of IT security practices, including risk assessments, access controls, and compliance with standards like MAS TRM.
  • Leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, Cloud Architect, PMP) are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Japanese (business level) and English for liaison with vendors, clients, and the IT department in Tokyo.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
