We are currently looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years of experience to lead and oversee our accounting operations in India. This role involves end-to-end financial management, client reconciliation, FX booking, safeguarding processes, financial planning, and collaboration with the global finance team to ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards. The incumbent will play a strategic role in expanding the finance function in India to support global operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • India Accounting & Compliance: Supervise all financial reporting, accounting, and approval processes in India according to local regulatory requirements. Ensure statutory compliance, including tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and regulatory submissions. Manage audits, work with external auditors, and implement best practices in financial reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely book closures.
  • Client Reconciliation, FX Booking & Safeguarding: Manage client reconciliation process ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Supervise FX booking and safeguarding processes to comply with internal controls and regulatory standards. Enhance reconciliation methodologies and develop best practices for efficiency. Provide timely insights and reports to senior management on reconciliations and safeguarding.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities and offer recommendations to optimize returns.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial records integrity. Coordinate internal and external audits, address findings, and implement corrective actions. Continuously assess and improve accounting procedures for efficiency and compliance.
  • Tax Planning & Compliance: Oversee tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws. Prepare and file tax returns, manage tax audits, and stay updated on tax regulation changes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Develop a finance team in India to support international accounting functions. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance skills and performance. Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and reconciliation.
  • Deep understanding of India's financial regulatory landscape and international accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
