Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Dual role functions as maker and checker.
  2. Ensure proper and timely checks on compliance with HO and MAS regulations and guidelines on credit applications received.
  3. Monitor progress on approval of credit applications.
  4. Check contents of loan/security agreements for adherence to approved credit terms and conditions.
  5. Control collection of credit documentation (facility and security documents and CP/CS documents).
  6. Instruct registration of facility limits/collaterals in systems when documentation is complete/CPs complied.
  7. Monitor collateral condition (expiry dates and adequacy of insurance policies, collateral valuation, etc.).
  8. Monitor and manage irregular/exceptional handling transactions until satisfactory closure.
  9. Monitor/check Master Covenant Control and loan covenant compliance.
  10. Provide information on collaterals and MT12 Credit Supplementary to FCG for MAS610 reporting.
  11. Support for various business units and back-office staff members by providing necessary information on credit control matters.
  12. Preparation of Management/MAS/internal reports.
  13. Participate in initiatives and projects as assigned.
  14. Any other matters that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  2. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered at Analyst/Senior Analyst level.
  3. Knowledge of corporate banking products - working capital loans, real estate loans, foreign exchange, etc.
  4. Diligent, organized, and meticulous with a keen eye for details.
  5. Open mindset with willingness to learn and is receptive to transformational changes.
  6. Both a team player and active independent contributor.
  7. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
