The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.
Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Key Appointments
- This position will be responsible for driving engagement and strategic value through wellness initiatives under the Employee Benefits portfolio.
- This role focuses on managing both onsite and digital wellness activities, building strong vendor and client relationships, and embedding cross-selling opportunities across all touchpoints.
- This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with experience in event and vendor management, and a passion for delivering impactful wellness experiences that support business growth, client retention, and group insurance renewal strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of onsite wellness activations, ensuring quality delivery and positive client experience.
- Manage and coordinate wellness activities for corporate clients, ensuring alignment with strategic wellness objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external wellness vendors, brokers, and corporate clients.
- Develop and execute digital engagement strategies, including arranging webinars, sourcing speakers, and curating Employee Benefits content for corporate employee bases.
- Embed cross-selling opportunities in both onsite wellness activities and digital engagement initiatives, including integration of financial wellness booths and content.
- Grow cross-selling opportunities into the member base via wellness activities and other health & wellness initiatives.
- Pitch corporate wellness to clients and brokers as value-added propositions to support renewal and new business opportunities.
- Hold accountability for cross-selling KPIs, including tracking conversion rates from wellness to financial product engagement, targeting 2–5% conversion.
- Analyse employee base data to identify strategic product offerings that align with client needs and wellness objectives.
- Create or contribute to the development of marketing materials and content to support wellness engagement and cross-sell efforts.
- Manage and refine the corporate wellness proposition, to ensure relevance, impact, and alignment with business and client needs.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and participants to continuously improve future wellness activations and digital engagements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Account Managers, Business Development Managers) to align wellness initiatives with broader business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in corporate wellness, employee benefits, client engagement, or health promotion, ideally within insurance, healthcare, & banking.
- Proven track record in planning and executing both onsite and digital wellness initiatives, including webinars, speaker sourcing, and content development.
- Strong ability to design and deliver value-added wellness propositions that support business growth, client retention, and group insurance renewal strategies.
- Experience in event management, stakeholder engagement, and client-facing roles, with a focus on driving measurable outcomes such as cross-selling and lead generation.
- Strong ability to identify and embed cross-selling opportunities within wellness activities to support business growth and group insurance renewal strategies.
- Familiar with digital engagement tools and platforms used for webinars, content distribution and nurturing campaigns are a plus.
Education
- Recognized university degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or at least GCE A-Level or Diploma with relevant professional qualifications.
- Professional certifications in event management, wellness programming, or digital marketing are advantageous but not mandatory.
