Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning for organic and inorganic business development for countries in APAC, which includes establishing strategies with each countries and relevant departments
  • Implement business as usual, including but not limited to, regulatory & governance matters, new products and business steering in APAC branches/offices as well as managing subsidiaries.
  • To support in establishing and/or further enhance relationships and promote business collaborations between SMBC's investee partners in APAC and SMFG.
  • To support independent business oriented research involving business operations of these investee partners.
  • To support enhancement of corporate governance for relevant investee companies in APAC.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments of Head Office to efficiently enhance business and governance in APAC region.
Job Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in corporate banking industry.
  • Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
  • Business planning experience in banking is preferred
  • Knowledge of Japanese Banking law is an advantage, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills (written/spoken). Proficient in English, additional proficiency in Japanese is a plus, but not essential.
  • Good stakeholder management skills, adaptable and creative thinking
  • Team player
