Assistant Treasurer


Job Description:


We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Treasurer to join our finance team. This role plays a vital part in managing treasury operations, supporting financial activities, and maintaining strong relationships with banks and vendors. The ideal candidate is analytical, trustworthy, and able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to support regional and business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks to support Group treasury operations and financial goal.
  • Optimize liquidity by ensuring adequate funding for operational needs.
  • Prepare accurate and timely short/long-term cash flow forecast and financial analyses.
  • Support execution of payments, foreign exchange (FX) transactions, and treasury reporting.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in treasury processes and systems.
  • Verify expense reports and reconcile statements and payment records.
  • Handle payments to vendors and service providers and ensure payment terms are correctly applied.
  • Review and negotiate vendor/service provider agreements to secure favourable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking, or financial operations.
  • Experience working with banks and external auditors is preferred.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with external partners and internal teams.
  • Team player with flexibility and willingness to support cross-functional responsibilities when needed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Able to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Immediate availability is an advantage.
