Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified Training Coordinator to assist in developing a strategic training plan for Chinese Drama Productions. The role involves assessing training needs, managing training initiatives, and evaluating their effectiveness, along with coordinating award submissions. Candidates must have a diploma and around 5 years of experience in the media industry, coupled with strong communication, project management, and analytical skills to support training effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimally a Diploma qualification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the media-related industry with a solid understanding of production processes and industry-specific skillsets, particularly in the areas of growth and development.
  • A passion for learning and a strong belief in training and coaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with participants and stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Project management skills to plan, organize, and execute training initiatives.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and technology-enabled training methods.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing training needs and evolving industry requirements.
  • Strong instructional design and training delivery skills will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulation of overall strategic training plan within Chinese Drama Productions (CDP) for employees involved in production.
  • Drive training needs assessment of various teams across CDP, conducting comprehensive assessments to understand and identify key training needs.
  • Consolidate and structure existing training plans/opportunities into long-term sustainable training courses.
  • Source and identify suitable training courses for various teams/individuals.
  • Initiate new ideas to facilitate training within CDP, customizing training from different teams.
  • Explore new potential collaborations with IHLs and SMA on training matters.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, collect feedback from participants.
  • Assess the impact of training on individual performance and overall production quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and evaluation results.

Job description

  • To assist in formulation of overall strategic training plan within Chinese Drama Productions (CDP) for employees involved in production to dovetail with planning of annual training curriculum

  • To assist and drive formulation of training needs assessment of various teams across CDP which entails conducting comprehensive assessments to understand and identify key training needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

  • Consolidate and structure existing training plans/opportunities and expand them into long term sustainable training courses through collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders

  • Source and identify suitable training courses for various teams/ individuals

  • Formulate and initiate new ideas to facilitate training within CDP, customizing current training requirements from different teams and exploring new training requirements arising from various drama projects and new production genre

  • Explore new potential collaborations with IHLs and SMA on training matters and/or talent sourcing & grooming

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, collect feedback from participants, and make necessary adjustments to improve future training initiatives

  • Assess the impact of training on individual performance and overall production quality by coming up with a common training evaluation framework to evaluate knowledge acquisition and application

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and evaluation results. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the outcomes and impact of training initiatives to relevant stakeholders such as HODs and Chief of Content

Awards Coordination / Music Licensing & Songs Coordination:

  • Lead and manage all award submissions for the department, ensuring timely tracking of deadlines and submission milestones

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather necessary creative materials, credits, and supporting documentation

  • Maintain a repository of past submissions and results to support future planning and benchmarking
