Job summary

A major engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional for Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of electrical/signalling systems for a key rail project. The role demands 2-3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders effectively, including during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of Electrical T&C experience in MRT/LRT signalling/electrical systems.
• Keen to learn MRT/LRT electrical/signalling systems.
• Able to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise testing and commissioning work as per approved procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting and fault rectification during T&C.

Job description

Employment Term: 2 years contract (subjected to extension)

Work Location: Sengkang

Responsible for Testing and Commission (T&C) along with technical support of electrical/signalling system for SPLRT Phase 3 Project (C810D).

Responsibilities include:

1. T&C works associated with LRT electrical/signalling system
2. Assist in preparing and reviewing T&C procedures and checklists
3. Perform and supervise testing and commissioning work as per approved procedures
4. Assist in troubleshooting and fault rectification during T&C
5. Communicate effectively with T&C manager, design engineers, site supervisors, project manager, and other stakeholders
6. Coordinate with external stakeholders such as contractors, subcontractors, SBST, LTA
7. Perform any other ad-hoc works assigned by the project manager and commissioning manager

Job Requirements

1. Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication
2. Minimum 2-3 years of Electrical T&C experience, preferably in MRT/LRT signalling/electrical systems
3. Familiarity with electrical/control/signalling systems, especially MRT/LRT systems, is advantageous
4. Keen to learn MRT/LRT electrical/signalling systems
5. Able to work night shifts
6. Strong commitment to the job
7. Knowledge of LTA regulations
8. Team player with motivation
9. Proven ability to achieve results within deadlines
10. Adaptable to change and challenges, able to work calmly under pressure, exercising good judgment
11. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with multiple stakeholders
