Job Summary:

The Tender Manager is responsible for overseeing the review, negotiation, drafting, implementation, and maintenance of the Tender within the organization. The Tender Manager will assist in building and sustaining excellent client relationships and propose partnership engagement models (primarily legal considerations) for strategic partnerships and collaborations. The Tender Manager is expected to ensure that Tenders are properly executed in compliance with company policies, industry standards, legal requirements, and mitigate risks to our company. The Tender Manager will work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful Tender of marine construction projects. The Tender Manager also plays a key role in protecting the organization's interests, promoting successful business engagements, and conducting periodic contract performance reviews.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Management in the formulation of business strategies and build and sustain excellent client relationships.
  • Implement and manage the Tender Department in all Pre and Post Tender administration and procurement works.
  • Oversee the team on cost planning and preparation of tender submissions.
  • Oversee the team on invitations for quotations, negotiations, evaluations, recommendations, and confirmations.
  • Engage various stakeholders to draft, review, negotiate, and implement Tenders for marine construction projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal regulations.
  • Identify potential risks related to Tender projects, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure tender specifications are followed and project milestones are met.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations to assess contract performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive value optimization.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in contract/tender management in the construction industry, including experience with large-scale projects.
  • Legal knowledge and experience with Tenders are highly preferred.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in contract management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze complex contract terms, identify potential risks, and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to accurately review, draft, and administer Tenders.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing contract-related workflows efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of marine construction processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
