Assistant Technical Support Engineer
Overview
Assistant Technical Support Engineer responsible for basic repairs, RMA processes, testing, inventory management, reporting, and on-site support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs and module replacements for intercom and related devices
- Handle RMA processes, including troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with vendors
- Conduct in-house testing, quality checks, and verification of repaired or replaced units
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and modules
- Prepare simple reports on repairs, failures, and RMA trends
- Provide on-site support for service calls or project installations as needed
- Assist service and project teams with technical support when required
- Assist with new product testing and evaluation
- Assist with other technical tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma/ITE Certificate in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field
- Basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques
- Hands-on ability to perform module replacements and device assembly/disassembly
- Good organizational skills to track RMAs, spares, and documentation
- Willingness to provide occasional on-site support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Network Structure
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
